Currently considering | January, 2008

Another semester has come to a close, and what a semester it has been. In fact, it was formative in directing where I am headed for my thesis, and I finally feel as though I am thinking outside of the box that has restricted my thoughts for years. Many people have a hard time thinking past "the internet" when they hear the word "interactive"; like many others, I've struggled to make interactive design much more than designing websites. In fact, interactivity is our entire world, and it is becoming increasingly important to understand human interactions in a global society. I'm hoping that by taking my work into the public realm, I can address and solve real issues and see real, living results.

Selected works | 2007

The following are a moderate selection of pieces that I have worked on and/or continue to work on professionally and academically. I hope to have more pieces added shortly, but if you would like to see additional (particularly interactive pieces), please email me! It may be a while before I get to site updates.

Design as process | March, 2007

Much like this website itself, design is a process. Funny how this was the first thing that I learned in my undergraduate program yet I had to finish school, work for a year, and complete nearly two years of graduate school before I came back to this idea. This is what attracted me to the field in the first place, yet once you become "a designer" it is perhaps the first theory that is lost. So, I'm on a personal quest to reclaim process and fully understand what it means to process something. Bear with me as I stumble through this, hopefully producing some quality work along the way
